REACH

Sexual assault affects not only the lives of victims, but everyone around them. The survivor must not only cope with the physical aspects, but they must also deal with the myths, misconceptions, and stereo-typical views which surround the issue of sexual assault.

Sexual violence is a term used to define any sexual activity imposed upon a person against his/her will. It is a hostile, violent, forcible act with the purpose of humiliating, dominating, and controlling the victim. FBI statistics indicate that one in four females and one in six males will be sexually assaulted in their lifetimes.

At the Family Counseling Connection, we help to ease the suffering of the victim by replacing the myths with facts through education and by providing support and advocacy services.

We currently provide the following services:

  • 24-Hour Rape Crisis Intervention
  • Supportive Services
  • Community Education
  • Professional Training
  • Medical and Legal Advocacy
